Lotus Esprit S2 for hire in Crawley
Hire this Lotus Esprit S2 for your event
This is one of the first "Championship Gold" Lotus Esprit Series 2 cars produced by Lotus to celebrate the last of their five F1 World Constructor's Championships (and the Driver's Championship) in 1978 which the car celebrates with a plaque on the boot lid.. This car is Chassis 005 which was the show car on the Lotus stand for the British NEC Car Show in October 1978, so the attention to detail with its build quality was higher than usual with all leather interior and very smooth shut lines to impress visitors and prospective customers on the stand. An identical cars Chassis (001) in this first production run features In an iconic photo with Lotus founder Colin Chapman next to his JPS liveried Piper Cherokee plane on the Lotus factory runway.
The Series 2 (S2) version of the Lotus Esprit was the last 2 litre version built and was designed to iron out some of the faults on the Series 1 (S1) version which famously appeared in the 1977 "Spy Who Loved Me" James Bond film before being redesigned again in 1981 with the S3 and Turbo versions which featured in the "For Your Eyes Only" Bond film.
This Esprit has only run for 28,000 miles and is in pristine condition for a car which is nearly 40 years old but carries all the features and ethos still seen in current Lotus production cars with lightness from its low drag fibre glass body and limpet like road holding with its low ride height and suspension designed from Lotus' racing pedigree.
Why not hire this stunning class car today. This gold Lotus still turns heads and will soon bring an audience to any display, event or photoshoot.
