Austin A50 Cambridge for hire in Hound Green, Hook
Hire this Austin A50 Cambridge for your event
This 1956 Austin A50 Cambridge is a typical 1950’s middle class family car and one of only around 40 surviving from the many thousands built. It is in excellent condition both mechanically and bodily. The exterior is still in its original duck-egg blue with cream wheels and the interior still includes the original blue leather seats and is relatively unrestored but in excellent condition. It has never had seatbelts. The 2 front seats form a bench type configuration and it has a column gear change. The engine is the original 1500cc Austin engine and it has recently had a new water pump to minimise risk of overheating in traffic (a typical problem with old cars!) and also a new dynamo to ensure the battery remains well charged. It is a joy to drive. I bought it because my father had one which was identical in colour inside and out and it was the main family car which I grew up with and on which I learned to drive 54 years ago!
